GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU SMILE
Getting there is half the fun!
For years, that was the slogan of the Cunard Line. The line, whose ship, the Carpathia, rescued survivors from the Titanic in 1912.
The Cunard Company
would later rescue White Star, the mother line of the Titanic, from bankruptcy. The Carpathia's proud history came to an end in 1918, when it was sunk by a submarine.
The first Cunard ship, the Britannia, was launched in 1840. Now owned by Carnival, Cunard continues to sail the Queen Mary II, the Queen Victoria, and the Queen Elizabeth.
And getting there is still half the fun.
